Yesterday, we published an edited video of Shamsher Khan, a top leader of the Pakistan-backed terror group Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM). The original video was circulated by HM’s social media accounts on April 24, 2025. It quickly went viral, with multiple Pakistani accounts claiming that HM had announced the launch of an ‘armed struggle’ once again in Jammu and Kashmir. Of course, the word ‘struggle’ is a misnomer here.
After the carnage carried out by Pakistan-backed terrorists in Pahalgam, where 26 innocent civilians lost their lives, Pakistan now fears retaliation from India. As always, Pakistan seeks to utilise not just its conventional forces but also non-state actors — namely, terrorists — with Hizbul Mujahideen being one of them. The Pakistan Army is known to have used and denied the involvement of both terrorists and serving soldiers during the Kargil War, so for them, this is a time-tested strategy.
The video is one minute long and features Shamsher Khan. Originally from Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, he moved to Pakistan in the 1990s to join the terrorist group. Although Syed Salahuddin leads the group, Shamsher Khan was used as the face of yesterday’s video.
After another Pakistan-backed terrorist group, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), claimed responsibility for the attack in Pahalgam, India responded by abeyance of the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan, cancelling SAARC visas for Pakistanis, and reducing the strength of the Pakistani embassy — including expelling its defence attachés and advisors. Pakistan protested! Too late!!! India had lost 26 innocents to a terror atatck.
Ostensibly, the carnage in Pahalgam was orchestrated by LeT terrorist Saifullah Kasuri, who also leads Lashkar’s political wing. We have posted multiple videos showing Lashkar terrorists being given police protection by Pakistani authorities.
For now, all Pakistan-backed terrorist groups, their proxies, and sleeper cells appear to have been activated by Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI, which is tasked with training these terror groups.
