Tortured To Name People Like Yogi AdityaNath, Had Initiated Reports against Dawood– Lt Col Purohit

Lt Col Prasad Purohit has leveled allegations against senior police officials, asserting that they manipulated an investigation to align with the agenda of the governing administration. He asserted that in August 2008, the president of a political party addressed a gathering in Alibaug, discussing individuals who identified as Hindu and were labeled as terrorists. This marked the inaugural usage of the term “Hindu terror,” coinciding closely with the blast on September 29, which occurred shortly after the term’s introduction.

In his testimony presented before the NIA court, he asserted that the officials had concocted and planted false evidence, including RDX and explosives. Purohit accused them of involvement in the unlawful killings of wanted individuals Ramchandra Kalsangra and Sandeep Dange, along with a witness.

Purohit elaborated that witnesses were coerced, threatened, and unlawfully detained, sometimes at gunpoint, to extract fabricated statements as demanded by the ATS or their political superiors. He emphasized that the entire case against him was a fabricated falsehood, undermining national security, demoralizing intelligence personnel, and tarnishing the army’s reputation permanently.

During his tenure as an intelligence officer, Purohit stated that he authored reports concerning Dawood Ibrahim, identified as a fugitive terror accused and ISI agent, detailing his rendezvous with proclaimed fugitive Dr. Ganapati, a senior member of the banned CPI (Maoist) central committee. These meetings were purportedly aimed at facilitating the transfer of arms, ammunition, and drugs from ISI in Pakistan to left-wing extremists and Naxalites in the Dandakaranya special committee zone, particularly following disruptions in supplies from Nepal.

Additionally, Purohit mentioned another report from 2006-07 regarding Zakir Naik, now declared a fugitive, and his alleged illicit financing activities through the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF). He asserted that these reports stemmed from his extensive analysis of the proliferation of Naxalism and left-wing extremism, implicating certain national and regional politicians.

Purohit alleged that a month after the explosion, he was unlawfully detained in an isolated bungalow in Khandala, where he suffered brutal treatment at the hands of a retired colonel and Singh, surpassing even the cruelty accorded to prisoners of war. He claimed that Karkare and Singh pressured him to confess to his purported involvement and implicate senior figures from right-wing organizations like the RSS, VHP, and Yogi Adityanath, the then MP from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Moreover, Purohit asserted that although instructed to leave a specific location on November 3, 2008, an ATS officer clandestinely advised him against it, revealing plans to eliminate him upon exiting the premises.
