
Local afghan media claim that the Taliban killed Sayed Mullah, an ISIS intelligence and targeted assassination official, in Kunar province on Monday. According to the sources, Sayed Mullah, known as Hamas, had recently arrived in Afghanistan from Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
It is said that two women and a child of Sayyid Mullah were also injured in the incident. Afghan media says pictures show Hamas drowning in blood.
Originally from Manogay district, he reportedly returned to Narang district after receiving explosives training in Pakistan’s Balochistan region and was allegedly planning destructive operations” report stated.
Although the Taliban has repeatedly denied the presence of ISIS in Afghanistan, a local man was previously beheaded in the Choki district of Kunar province on suspicion of espionage.
The Taliban has denied ISIS’s operational capabilities, but the ISIS was able to assassinate the Taliban’s Minister of Refugees, Khalil ur Rehman Haqqani, at the Ministry of Refugees on December 11.
In response to Islamabad’s claim that Taliban supports Pakistani militants, Taliban officials are claiming the presence of ISIS on Pakistani soil, especially in the province of Balochistan.
