Reports from credible Pakistani sources now reveal that the Pakistan Army has poured a cool Rs 42 Crores into an American lobbying firm to polish up its image on the global stage. Because, clearly, the world just isn’t recognizing Pakistan’s true greatness, right?
It turns out the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI), an affiliate of the National Security Division, was enlisted by the government to close this whopping $1.5 million deal with Team Eagle Consulting in the U.S. Because what says “we’re the good guys” quite like buying your way to respect?
The objective? Strengthening Pakistan’s relations with the United States, of course. And how did the army go about this? By using the government as their image-enhancing sidekick. So essentially, the Pakistan Army just pulled off an image overhaul – and had the government sign the paperwork for them. Real subtle, Pakistan, real subtle.
