Pakistan Navy’s Ex-Aman 2025; 54 Countries Will Participate

The Pakistan Navy is planning to conduct the ninth multinational naval exercise Aman -25 in the waters off Karachi , Sindh Province, Pakistan from February 7 to 11. A large contingent of ships, special operations forces, and observers from over 50 countries is anticipated to participate, claims the Pakistan Navy website.

In the previous iteration, Aman 2023 (held from February 10 to 14, 2023), seven ships from China, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and the United States took part, along with special operations and marine units.

This year the event will also feature the AMAN Dialogue, scheduled from February 8 to 10, which will run concurrently with the exercise. Pakistan’s Naval chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf claims that the forum will bring together navy, coast guard, and defense force leaders to discuss global and regional security issues and collaborate on innovative solutions to emerging maritime security challenges. In his recent interviews to different Pakistani media the Naval chief also claimed that exercise aims to enhance regional cooperation and stability, foster interaction among the navies of various nations, and showcase a unified commitment to combating terrorism and maritime crimes, including piracy. A large contingent of ships, special operations forces, and observers from over 50 countries is anticipated to participate.
