A few days after ground breaking of Pakistan’s biggest nuclear power plant Chasma-5 which will be constructed with China, TTP has intensified its attacks in and around Mianwali.

In last few days on almost daily basis Mianwali has witnessed a gunfight between Pakistan Army and TTP.
Yesterday 16 employees of Atomic Energy commission were abducted. A senior TTP commander, stated that out of the 16 abducted individuals, eight have been released as they were civilian laborers. However, those associated with the military department are still in Taliban custody. They were kidnapped from Lakki Marwat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Mianwali gunfight on Jan 6:

~Pak taliban and Pakistani forces clashed in Mianwali, Punjab yesterday.

~Pro Pak taliban claim that the fierce clash resulted in the death of many soldiers including an NCO.
