ISIS “Delegates” in Balochistan to Meet Pakistani Authorities– Pro-Taliban media

A delegation from the Islamic State (IS) in Syria and Iraq recently met with ISKP leaders in Pakistan’s Balochistan as per pro-Taliban media. The alleged purpose of the meeting was to strengthen ISKP’s regional and global operations, positioning Balochistan as a strategic hub for future activities.

The pro taliban media claims that on the orders of the ISIS caliph, a high-level delegation met with its stationed officials in Pakistan. It was an ISIS delegation from Syria and Iraq, guided by ISIS Caliph Abdul Qadir Mu’min, traveled to Pakistan’s Balochistan province and met with the leadership of ISIS-Khorasan. The purpose of the visit was to expand ISIS-K’s activities in the region and the Western world, as well as to provide the necessary support to the Khorasan branch to achieve this goal.

It is important to note that the Khorasan branch holds significant importance for ISIS’s central leadership, and the recent meeting and directives highlight ISIS’s aim to organize its operations from Balochistan and expand them globally.

ISKP Vs Taliban

ISKP has been at Taliban’s neck since the day Afghan Govt fell in Aug 2021. ISKP continued incessant attacks on Taliban last year, with myriads of suicide attacks targeting Taliban men. In one of the suicide attacks in the first quarter of 2024, atleast 40 Talibs were killed by a Tajik suicide bomber. Taliban claims Pakistan’s spy agency ISI trains ISKP men who come to Pakistan’s Balochistan from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Taliban suspects that ISI closely collaborates with many resistance fronts based in Tajikistan.
