
Local media reported clashes between Taliban forces and Pakistani soldiers in Bahram chah district of Helmand province. Clashes began on Thursday morning, May 28, and are still ongoing.
The clash broke out between Taliban forces and Pakistani soldiers on Thursday morning when the Taliban were moving a container to establish a security checkpost in Bahram Chah district, near the border in Haji Arian village. Pakistani forces reacted to the construction of this check post by opening fire on the Taliban, following which both sides resorted to using light and heavy weapons.
Since then, local media reported that sporadic fighting between the two sides is continuing in the area of Haji Arian village and Koh Allah Akbar.
Taliban have ordered civilians to vacate the area, as per local media. No details of possible casualties have been released so far.

September 6, 2023: Clash at Torkham crossing, with no reported casualties but the border was closed.
March 16, 2024: A truck bomb and firing in North Waziristan killed 7 Pakistani soldiers and 6 attackers.
September 7, 2024: Clashes in Kurram-Khost killed 8 Afghan Taliban fighters and injured 5 Pakistani soldiers.
December 21-27, 2024: Heavy clashes in South Waziristan and Paktia, with 16 Pakistani soldiers and 8 attackers killed, followed by Pakistani airstrikes in Paktika.
May 29, 2025: Clashes at Bahramcha in Chaghi, Balochistan, over a Taliban checkpoint, with no casualty details.
