Pakistani Terrorist Masood Azhar Describes the Women’s Jihad Wing in 21-Minute Audio

On oct 9 we had released a statement of Pakistani terrorist Masood Azhar’s brother Talha Saif, declaring the formation of a Women’s wing. Now JeM has released JeM cheif terrorist Masood Azhar’s audio describing in great details about the functioning of Jamaat Ul Mominaat, the Woman’s Wing. Interstingly the poster released by JeM mentions Chinese app Zoom as a mode of communication.

The Pakistan-sponsored terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has launched a dedicated women’s jihad brigade named Jamat-ul-Mominat, according to an exclusive 21-minute audio address delivered by its chief, Maulana Masood Azhar, at Markaz Usman o Ali in Bahawalpur.

In the recording, Azhar lays out a comprehensive plan to recruit, indoctrinate, and deploy women as part of JeM’s escalating global jihad campaign, mirroring the group’s long-established male training pipeline.

Azhar announced that female recruits will undergo an induction course titled Daura-e-Taskiya — the women’s equivalent of the 15-day Daura-e-Tarbiat program used for male fighters. Conducted at the same Bahawalpur facility, the course aims to instill the same ideological conviction that jihad against India guarantees paradise.

Women who complete Daura-e-Taskiya will advance to a second phase, Daura-Ayat-ul-Nisah, where they will study Islamic texts interpreted to mandate female participation in armed jihad.

“Any woman who joins Jamat-ul-Mominat will go straight to paradise from her grave after death,” Azhar declared.

Azhar justified the creation of the female wing by pointing to perceived threats from India. “The enemies of Jaish have put Hindu women into the army and set up female journalists against us,” he said. “I am mobilizing my women to compete and fight against them.”

He emphasized that JeM’s male mujahideen will operate alongside the new women’s unit, which he claims will “spread Islam across the world.”

Azhar revealed plans to establish Jamat-ul-Mominat branches in every district of Pakistan, each led by a District Muntazima responsible for local recruitment. Female members are strictly prohibited from communicating with unrelated men via phone or messaging apps, except husbands or immediate family.

Leadership and Recruitment Drive

Investigations confirm that Azhar appointed his sister Sadiya Azhar as head of the women’s wing. His other sister, Samaira Azhar (alias Umme Masood), and Afeera Farooq, widow of the 2019 Pulwama suicide bomber Umar Farooq, are part of the leadership core.

The group has begun daily online motivational sessions, with Umme Masood listed as the instructor for classes held five days a week, starting October 25. A newly released JeM poster promotes these sessions.

Azhar highlighted that 4–5 women in the brigade are relatives of JeM operatives killed in encounters with Indian forces. They will spearhead a recruitment campaign under the banner Shoba-e-Dawat.

Female cadres are required to study Azhar’s book Ae Musalman Behna (O Muslim Sister) as part of their ideological training.

Personal Motivation and Family Losses

In an emotional segment, Azhar claimed that 14 members of his family, including his brother Yousuf Azhar, nephews Jameel Ahmed, Hamza Jameel, and Huzaifa Azhar, and his elder sister Hawa Bibi, were killed during India’s Operation Sindoor. He said he had discussed the women’s brigade concept with Hawa Bibi before her death, framing the initiative as a tribute to his family’s sacrifices.

Despite officially designating JeM as a banned organization, Pakistan continues to provide operational latitude to anti-India terror outfits. Analysts note that such groups have gained greater freedom following shifts in regional geopolitics, allowing them to expand recruitment and propaganda efforts with minimal interference.

The launch of Jamat-ul-Mominat marks a significant escalation in JeM’s strategy, signaling an intent to broaden its demographic base and sustain long-term jihadist mobilization.
